Dear Ever,

Another journaling post. I've written letters to each of our children as babies, with my dreams and hopes for them. Here is Ever's.

First and foremost, Ever, let me tell you how much we love you! And how we will ALWAYS love you, no matter what. Already your personality shines through. You are a quiet baby, but when you need something you aren't afraid to let us know. You are very observant and always taking everything in. You are happy and love to smile. I hope you will always love to smile. We often hear how alert you are. I hope you always will remain so, alert to the things and people around you, alert to their needs, and alert to the voice of the spirit.

Ever, your middle name, Loraine, comes from Grandma Chamberlain's sister. She has never had the opportunity to marry, but she has not let that keep her from being faithful, happy, and loving. She is an incredible woman and we hope that you will be like her.

If you are anything like your siblings, you will be very intelligent. I hope you will use that to learn and grow and to find something that you love to do. I hope you never stop learning. As much as I love being a mom, I won't always be a full time one and having found something that I love to do (family history) has given me the knowledge that I will have a continued purpose once you have all grown up and begun your own lives and families. So find something that you love so that you can find more purpose and direction in your life.

I hope that you learn to have good relationships with others. I hope you learn to communicate in meaningful ways. Most especially that you learn to communicate your love to those around you and to communicate with your Heavenly Father through prayer. Of course we hope that you will one day find a good husband and marry in the temple and be able to have a family of your own and that you will cultivate good relationships with your family. I hope that you will have good relationships with your siblings as well. The relationship that I hope you will cultivate most is your relationship with Jesus Christ. No other relationship will bring you more peace, comfort, and happiness.

Ever, you will experience difficult times in your life. There is no way around them. It is part of this experience and opportunity that we have been given by our Heavenly Father. I hope that in those difficult times that you will feel like you can come to me and your dad to find love and advice. But I hope more that you will always turn to the Savior to gain comfort and strength and to also feel of his love. We love you more than words can say, but He loves you so much more than you or I can comprehend.

We are so happy to have you in our family and we will enjoy the journey of watching you learn and grow!

Ever's Blessing

 Ever was blessed on March 9, 2014 by her father, Scott Chamberlain. Those who stood in the circle were; Grandfather, John David Minson, Great Grandfather, George Bruce Wilson, Uncles- Daniel Wells, Bill Brewer, Rob Burnett, and friends Adam Michaelson and Jonny Rejholec.

Ever, you were blessed with:
Physical strength as you grow into a young woman
Spiritual strength needed to learn the good things this world has to offer
A desire to be baptized when you reach the age of accountability
Ability to plant the message of the gospel in your heart
A desire to follow the Savior and to learn of his Atonement
Have humility and desire  to repent when needed
Find a spouse and marry in the Temple
A desire to always follow the gospel
Ability to know where to turn for truth
