School!

HOLY KINDERGARTEN! So yes, I did not take pics on Park and Annie's first day, they were too fast and out the door before I knew what was happening, but I did on Indie's! And he is an official schooler.

 He and Susie started together!
Indie qualified for the small group Kindergarten and so lucky for him (and me) he still gets bussed. He is doing remarkably well, but is still behind in several fine motor and cognitive areas so he still gets some extra help.
"Bye mom!"

The Stuff of Life

Here are some fun and silly stories that show a glimpse of what life is like for us right now.
Don't these cupcakes look delicious? They sure LOOK delicious... I let Annicka and her friend Jessica make cupcakes one afternoon. Scott was home and I went to take a nap. When I woke up this is what they had made! And then I tasted them... Annicka used olive oil instead of vegetable oil for the cake part and it left a really weird taste in my mouth and the buttercream frosting tasted like, well, butter. Slightly sweetened butter. She was so disappointed, but really, considering this was her first unsupervised time baking something, not too bad! I had to tell her about times when I had used tablespoons of baking soda instead of teaspoons and some other baking mistakes I made while young to help her understand that this was a learning experience. She'll never use olive oil in a cake again!
And this little girl! She is officially 7 months old as of yesterday, but she has been pulling herself up to standing for a couple of weeks now. I am in serious trouble. What six-month-old does that? She also has 7 teeth. What 7-month-old has 7 teeth? Apparently this one!
The other day this 5-year-old came up to me just like this and said, "Look mommy, I'm naked Darth!" I couldn't stop laughing! I just love this boy!

Also Indie and Milo have been on a fighting streak lately. They really do love to play together, but it seems like it ends up in arguments about 90% of the time right now. Just the other day we were playing cards in the living room with some friends and Indie and Milo started playing "I got your eye." Very quickly it declined into, "Give me my eye back!" "NO! Don't take my ear!" "Stop eating my chin!" "GIVE IT BACK!" "NO! NOT GIVE IT BACK!" Every adult in the room was giggling and hiding behind their hand trying not to let Milo and Indie see how their distress was our entertainment.
And this is Ever and Aaron, whom I like to call Paul, sweetly sleeping. The next pair of Chamberlain/Michaelson babies that will grow up friends. He is nearly three months younger than Ever and he weighs 4 lbs more than she does. It's so funny to see them together, tiny Ever and giant Paul, ahem, Aaron. You see, Paul is Aaron's middle name and I can't seem to help the compulsion I have to call him Paul.
