On Friday the 3rd we spent the day up Provo Canyon at Vivian Park with the Michaelsons. The kids had a fabulous time playing in the shallow creek, roasting hot dogs, getting all kinds of dirty and just enjoying the wonderful weather

On the morning of the 4th Scott took Indie on a hike of Flat Top Mountain with a few of the older Michaelson clan. Flat Top is a peak to the west of us. The hike was 7-8 miles and pretty arduous. Indie did fantastic! As long as he got a break about once an hour he just plowed ahead. Scott said they could tell he needed a break once his talking slowed down. They'd take a break and then he'd be back to talking a mile a minute.

He slept for about 20 minutes in the car on the way home and when he got back he was bouncing off the walls again, as if he hadn't just hiked 8 miles.
The night of the 4th we spent the evening with all the neighbors. The kids did a bike parade and we ate, socialized, listened to the local rock band, and watched fireworks.
